Tomas the Alley Cat

As Seen In Art Doll Quarterly Fall 2013!!!

Tomas is part Paper Mache and part soft sculpture doll. He stands 20 inches tall and about

15 inches when sitting. His body is made of muslin that has been stuffed and weighted as
he is a shelf sitter. Tomas‘s arms are detailed in acrylic paint and lightly wired for posing
and holding very light objects. His legs can also be positioned to sit in different ways.
In addition, he displays very well standing with the use of a doll stand. Sometimes, after
shipping, the weight bag inside shifts a little and one may have to set the doll down with
a little “thump” or “bump” to his bottom to re-position the weights.
Tomas’s Halloween party hat‘s fashioned from orange felt. It is embellished with little, tiny bats, tinsel andfeathers. His shirt is made out of orange and black Jack-O-Lantern fabric print. His lapel is embellished with decorative trim, crystals, and little bat shaped beads. His sleeves are
trimmed in black and orange spider lace and decorated with crystals! Tomas is dressed in
his finest! He wears a black felt vest lavishly decorated in pumpkins gold trim and crystals.
With the detail on the back, Tomas looks good coming and going!
Orange and black checkedpants are fastened with a plain black jute twine.
His pant cuffs are accented with ruffled, black organza trim and orange iridescent, ribbon.
Tomas’s holds a retro styled cat head garland and is ready for a Halloween Party anytime!
Cost is$225.00 plus $15.00 shipping

 Scary-Go-Round

As Seen in Somerset Studio Fall 2013!!!

Scary-Go-Round Featured in Somerset Studio Magazine in the Fall of 2013! Make it yours!I am introducing my first Scary- Go – Round. The figures are original, hand sculpted creations mounted on a very large antique, wooden spool. The characters of the ghost and owl are repeated around its inner diameter for color and shape balance. The much larger figurine on top is a very happy and excited Mr. Can de’ Corn! Mr. Corn wears an eight layer ruffle around his neck that incorporates about a third of a yard of fabric! Each fabric laver is color coordinated with a mix of Halloween prints echoed by the smaller ghost figures. Poor little owls…no ruffle for them!

As usual, I have taken this primitive piece and added a little bling using different colored crystals for a sparkling effect. Even Prim pieces need a little bling sometimes. If you get to close to me when I’m blinging up a storm…you just may get blinged too! This piece is made to turn or spin, revealing a different little ghost and owl at every turn. The whole piece is mounted on a base that rotates on a turning device. He was a lot of fun to design and I hope he brings a little giggle to your day!
He is 15.5 X 7 X 7
Cost is $395.00 plus $25.00 shipping
